They don’t actively and pettily hunt humans, they aren’t “blood thirsty monsters”, they don’t kill just to kill but to eat and survive (just like us), they’re ambush predators (meaning they stay in the water and wait for something to get close to the waters edge and will lunge out of the water grab the prey and drag it back in) they don’t swim around and go on land to hunt (while they’re amazing in the water on land they’re very slow because of their short legs and their weight) now when they’re babies they might swim around to catch fish or other smaller prey but once they get big they’re ambush, once they get a big meal they won’t keep hunting in fact they can actually go weeks to months without eating if a meal is big enough, they’re cold blooded meaning they have to sun for their food to digest (which is why you often see Alligators/Crocodiles sunning)and bottom line they’re just beautiful and amazing predators, NOT bloodthirsty monsters like this movie would have you believe.
