After starting on the high note of My Sister's Keeper and working my way through a totally formulaic series always with a twist at the end, I didn't hold out much hope for this book but it was the only one I had for a long night in a hotel in a foreign land. Subsequently, she kept a packed suitcase under her bed most her childhood. Paige has only a few vivid memories of her mother, who abandoned her at five years old. She marries a man who also has family issues, though neither of them recognizes their issues or discusses them. Great read:)))). Maybe it's the feminist in me, but I seriously can't stand the childish way Paige binds herself to him and part of me just wishes she would have left him for Jake, even though that would have been a seriously awful move because of Max... but. I HATE endings like that and I HATE women like Paige, who are never really happy in their lives. But in the end they still love each other. As much as I like jodi Picoult books, this definitely wasn't one of my favorites. Don't waste your time with this one. They lacked imagination. Are they selfish?
